Job Purpose: To consult and collaborate with European, Global and UK colleagues to shape, design and implement key talent projects that drive business impact and growth, with a particular focus on leadership development and succession.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with European colleagues on our European Talent Plan. Shape initiatives that will have an impact on the development and effectiveness of our people, identifying solutions that are scalable, relevant, sustainable and high impact

Connect with the global talent team to ensure solutions are aligned, and influence the global direction where appropriate

Influence and guide European and Global colleagues where needed to drive practical solutions that will work at a market level

Support the UK Talent Director in working with the Business Boards (Convenience, Enterprise, Business Support) to effectively communicate talent initiatives in a way that drives business ownership and usage of tools, e.g. ACE High Performance, Success Profiles

Support on UK talent projects agreed with the Business Boards in the Business Plans, as appropriate

Work with the UK Talent Director and talent colleagues to drive our cultural change across the business

Manage a shared resource pool of trainers and project managers to deliver projects: coach, guide, empower and get the best out of them to deliver results

CRITICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience of driving and implementing projects across markets, cultures and different levels of seniority. A strong collaborator and able to influence without authority, able to get things done

A good listener and strong coach, experience of managing people

Experience of designing, developing and delivering people leadership, and high potential/ succession programmes

Effective at consulting with others, finding common ground and building on solutions

Able to challenge effectively and constructively to drive effective solutions and get to better outcomes. Can say no when needed

Demonstrated experience and subject matter expertise in talent and leadership, and able to use this expertise to create effective solutions

Pragmatic thinker who is able to design solutions that ‘work on the ground’

Experience of communicating and embedding employee engagement initiatives that ‘stick’

Drives structured and focused plans, but is also comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt plans where needed

Fosters innovation, tests and iterates ideas to drive better outcomes
