Programme Manager - Public Sector

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager to lead Manpowers HGV Driver Bootcamp.
Manpower is one of three parties in the Driver Academy Group consortium . The consortium has been awarded circa 2,000 learner places on the DfE's HGV Skills Bootcamp, where candidates develop and learn new skills that ultimately will support bringing new talent, upskilled resource, or reintroduced talent back into a sector which has a huge shortage of HGV drivers.

Within each consortium party, there is a requirement for a Programme Manager. This role plays a key part in coordinating the Manpower Allocated Workshare.

General Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Director of Logistics / Programme Director
  • Frequent communication with Programme Managers within HGVT and Logistics UK
  • Collaboration with the Driver Academy team internally
  • To deliver all MI to the Department of Education
  • Communication with applicants to the programme and learners on programme
  • Extensive use of IT systems and tools, such as ROMA, Power BI, Excel. Engagement with the various data teams to ensure all learner information is available
  • Creation of evidence packs at various stages throughout the learner journey
  • Support and engagement with the various business development executives who are engaged with new and existing clients
  • Attendance at periodic consortium and DfE meetings
  • MI to be provided for milestone achievement
  • Comprehensive data tracking required across full learner journey
  • Liaison required with other Manpower departments, such as Marketing, HR, Legal

Experience required:

  • Managing complex programmes and/or projects and delivering to required deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve and think through complex business challenges
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong data collation and data analytics
  • Challenging existing mindsets and behaviours to find new solutions
  • Managing stakeholder expectations
  • Developing and executing project plans

The following experience would be advantageous:

  • Working with third party partners
  • Experience of working in Data / Analytics / Process environment or role
  • Knowledge of Data led technologies (SQL, Power BI, as examples)
  • Track record of delivering with an agile framework
