We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our legal team. You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts across the full spectrum of our recruitment business and its subsidiaries, providing expert commercial legal support.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting all business units with a focus on commercial and contractual matters
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and transactions, assisting with commercial negotiations
Providing legal support for business activities including tenders and service contracts with various clients
Offering advice and support on ad hoc legal queries specific to the recruitment sector
Keeping the legal department and business informed of relevant commercial legal developments and legislation
Building strong relationships with the business to understand their needs and proactively support them
Managing litigation matters, including handling basic county court claims
Outsourcing contract law negotiation experience including TUPE
Handling employment law issues as they arise
Advising on GDPR compliance and negotiating IT contracts
Supervising junior team members on an ad hoc basis when required
About You:
You have a minimum of 7 years' PQE, ideally gained in-house
You possess a sound understanding of contract and commercial law best practices
Experience and knowledge of outsourcing, recruitment sector law, contract law, data protection, marketing, and IT law
Proven litigation experience
Familiarity with the Conduct of Employment Businesses and Employment Agencies Regulations 2003
Strong drafting skills and the ability to provide clear, practical, solutions-based advice
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Capable of prioritising workload and meeting tight deadlines
Confident working both independently and as part of a team
Excellent client care and interpersonal skills
Strong time management and IT skills
