TUPE Lead
Location: United Kingdom/Remote
Salary: Competitive, based on experience, with the added benefit of an annual bonus scheme.
Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of business transitions, ensuring smooth TUPE processes. The role will require an understanding of workforce migration, employment legislation, and HR best practices to effectively support business needs. Due to the fluctuating workload of TUPE projects, this role will also involve supporting broader HR functions in a generalist capacity, working closely with HR Business Partners to provide operational HR support.

Key Responsibilities:
TUPE & Business Transition Management:
- Manage all aspects of TUPE and business transition for both incoming and outgoing projects.
- Work with the Bid and Sales team to identify potential TUPE situations.
- Provide internal training and coaching on TUPE and its implications.
- Attend scoping meetings and workshops, advising on best practice, process activities, and risk identification.
- Participate in bid pursuit meetings, liaising with clients at all levels, including Procurement, HR, Operations, Commercial, and Communications.
- Oversee communication processes for all those affected, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Manage the rationalisation of multiple terms and conditions, ensuring legal compliance and best practices, working closely with the benefits team.
- Deliver presentations to clients and employees regarding transition processes and legal requirements.
- Conduct consultations, employee representative meetings, and 1:1 sessions as required.
- Collate, update, and manage all people transition data, ensuring data is shared in accordance with GDPR
- Maintain accurate record keeping of transition data, meetings, Q&A between transferor/transferee
- Collaborate with commercial and payroll teams to ensure contractual obligations are adhered to.
- Maintain compliance with audit requirements, health and safety, employment legislation, and GDPR.
- Keep up to date on changes to TUPE legislation and case law, evaluating the impact and making relevant recommendations for change as required.
Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management:
- Define client requirements for staff transition and develop project plans.
- Track progress against deliverables, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Report on project performance, highlighting any risks or issues.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients during the transition phase.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless integration of transitioned employees.
- Maintain relevant documentation, including policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers as needed.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Support HRBPs with generalist HR activities.
- Assist in case management for grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management processes.
- Support with employee engagement.
- Support with the coordination of learning and development initiatives.
- Provide assistance with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth employee transitions.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Good knowledge of TUPE regulations and employee transfer processes
- Client-oriented with a dynamic and logical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels.
- Strong HR generalist knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple client projects of varying complexity.
- Strong reporting skills with the ability to present project status, risks, and timeframes.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of HR systems and processes.
- Ability to manage sensitive employee data in compliance with GDPR.
- Ability to understand, manage and produce complex Excel data.
